At the end of the event, Manushi Chhillar of India crowned Vanessa Ponce of Mexico as Miss World 2018. It is the first victory of Mexico in the history of the pageant.
Contestants from 118 countries and territories competed in the pageant. The pageant was hosted by Fernando Allende, Angela Chow, Megan Young, Stephanie Del Valle, Frankie Cena, and Barney Walsh. Donel Mangena, Dimash Qudaibergen, and American vocal group Sister Sledge performed in this edition.[1]
