This is a bold and commendable attempt at a new template, but it needs some formatting work to avoid being cumbersome. See for example Template:Hebrides for a more user-friendly format. Ben MacDui (Talk) 21:20, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
I do not understand, Ben MacDui.I cannot see much difference between the Template:Hebrides and this one, now you have edited it. Why is it cumbersome? And why did you get rid of my places of intrest and airports. Zugspitze 16:50, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
As I understand it, there have only ever been two towns in the islands. Balfour, Houton, Longhope and Lyness are just a subset of the many villages. I've changed the title but I think this template would be better without this section. Any views?--JBellis 10:02, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
I wonder if it would be worth adding a sports section to the template to cover topics such as Orkney F.C. and the Orkney Amateur Football Association? Dunarc (talk) 18:50, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
