User:Bzuk is Bill Zuk in "reel" and real life. In the past, and sometimes present and future, I have been an author, filmmaker, historian, photographer and artist. Much of my life has been spent as an educator, sharing a passion for writing, history and aviation with both children and adults. Long-time Winnipeg resident, I received a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education from the University of Manitoba.

Working primarily as a teacher/librarian for Manitoba school divisions, I also taught Art, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies and created new libraries in three different school divisions as well as integrating a computer curriculum. I also conducted research for the Manitoba Textbook Bureau, Television Ontario, Manitoba Department of Education and Prentice-Hall of Canada. Publications include: Family Treasures Project, Story-Vine literature enrichment program, Convention Game, Election Simulation and Student Activity Blocks. During a two year period, I was the co-chair of I Love to Read Days Reading Festivals in Winnipeg, public relations coordinator for Canadian Images 2/Media and Technology in Education in Canada Conference. I am also the past chair of the Winnipeg Public Library Board and sit on the Assiniboia Library Advisory Committee in Winnipeg.

As a pilot and aviation writer, I served as the Executive Director and Training Coordinator for the Manitoba Aviation Council. In this capacity, I developed a training syllabus for the Manitoba aviation industry, training approximately 1,200 students annually. I am also a current executive member of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society, director at the Air Cadet League of Canada, vice-chair of the Manitoba Soaring Association, Chair of the Mynarski Statue Project, Associate Historian for the Royal Canadian Air Force and a volunteer at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada. The Avro Canada VZ-9 Avrocar flying saucer mock-up built for the Discovery Canada television documentary now resides there.

For over 30 years, I was the owner/operator of Timeless Memories Photography, and the official photographer for the Winnipeg International Air Show. I have also written extensively for aviation magazines worldwide, and was the editor of the trade journal, Western Canada Aviation & Aerospace, and currently the editor of the History Newsreel of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society, I am also a contributor to Wings and Helicopters magazines.
