Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mairead inghean Eachainn, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bishop of Ross (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The article Sorley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unnecessary disambiguation page. Should be replaced by hatnotes at each page, or possibly merged.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. G'day Brianann. You may be interested in a couple of articles I created recently (Scottish expedition into Argyll (1221–22) & Galloway revolt of 1234–35), but have been unable to expand properly, as I am renovating my house and my sources and main computer have been placed in storage. Any suggestions or improvements would be created appreciated. Regards Newm30 (talk) 04:31, 5 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Newm30. I had noticed the Galloway one but not Argyll. Thanks for alerting me. They look good so far. I'm pretty vague about the Galloway revolt. I was thinking of tackling Thomas' article some day. If I ever get to it, I'll have to research the revolt a bit. So I've got both articles in the my mind. Good luck with the renovation.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 01:24, 7 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Masculine surnames edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Masculine surnames indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
