Summary

March 2017 edit

Your recent editing history at Iran Air shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Yamla (talk) 15:40, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply Disambiguation link notification for May 10 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Largest metropolitan areas of the Middle East, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Muscat. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I've come to this page to make a point that's already been made to you - content needs referencing. PLease don't create articles such as Dehkhoda High School, which is one unreferenced line. I have moved it to Draft:Dehkhoda High School, please move it back only when it has references, making it clear it meets WP:GNG or WP:ORG. Boleyn (talk) 14:16, 16 July 2017 (UTC)Reply September 2017 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mahan Air destinations. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 11:00, 5 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 22:11, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply Mahan Air destinations edit

My editing of the table at Mahan Air destinations is to make it conform to several policies that you seem not to know about. WP:ACCESS says that colours should not be used to convey information, as "blind users or readers accessing Wikipedia through a printout or device without a color screen will not receive that information". The Manual of Style says that flag icons "should serve an encyclopedic purpose and not merely be decorative. They should provide additional useful information on the article subject, serve as visual cues that aid the reader's comprehension, or improve navigation. Icons should not be added only because they look good: one reader's harmless decoration may be another reader's distraction. An icon is purely decorative if it does not improve comprehension of the article subject and serves no navigational function." Wikipedia:WikiProject Airlines/page content says "flags are not to be used in any destination list" and "In accordance with MOS:FLAGS do not add country flags to the table based format because airports do not really represent a particular country, which is required for flags to be added". It also shows the table layout as Country-City-airport, not City-Country-airport.

With respect to the Bolding in the sentence at the top of the list, the Manual of Style says "Links should not be placed in the boldface reiteration of the title in the opening sentence of a lead", which means that the link to Mahan Air should not be in Bold because it only appears once. If you can come up with a leading text that mentions Mahan Air twice, then the first of those mentions can be Bolded and the second can have the wikilink.

I know that you have argued in the past that your preferred version of Mahan Air destinations is the same as many other airline destination tables. All that means is that there is a lot of work to be done to change all of those other tables so that they comply with what is required. I note that you reverted my edit to Iran Air Fleet and replaced it with information from planespotters.net. You should be aware that planespotters.net is not regarded as a reliable source as covered in recent discussions at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Airlines. Please revert to my edit. Ardfern (talk) 00:11, 28 September 2017 (UTC)Reply I reverted your edit to Iran Air Fleet and replaced it with correct information not information of planespotters.net. Looks unchanged to me. Please revert. Ardfern (talk) 11:01, 28 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
