Achitsky District (Russian: Ачитский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Achitsky Urban Okrug.[8][6] The area of the district is 2,071.6 square kilometers (799.8 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Achit.[2] Population: 16,807 (2010 Census);[4] 19,132 (2002 Census);[10] 23,348 (1989 Census).[11] The population of Achit accounts for 29.4% of the district's total population.[4]
