Summary

Betalghat is a small town and tehsil in Nainital district, Uttarakhand, India. As of 2011, it had a total population of 21265 spread over 4357 households.[1]

Most people of the village speak Kumaoni language and Hindi.

There is a riverside area in Betalghat along the Kosi River, a post office,[2] and a marketplace.[citation needed] The nearest[according to whom?] railway station is at Ramnagar (65 km) and Kathgodam (87 km).

Betalghat is small town so for further study students have to go Haldwani, Nainital or Ramnagar.

Community Health Center ( CHC ) situated near Goverment Inter College, available facility at CHC are very minimal. 90 % of local population are depends on unqualified hands for their healthcare.

The Betalghat bridge, which connects Betalghat with Garampani, was made in 1990. Betalghat Taxi stand is at the corner side of this bridge. There is a bridge on the Kosi River with a length of about 200 meters which connects Betalghat and Malli Seti, and further down this road connected with Ramnagar. Well shuttled bus and taxi services are available for Ramnagar, Haldwani, Nainital, Ranikhet, Almora, Bhatrojkhan and Garampani-Khairna. No roadways connected, Roads Condition are very Poor, 3 Connecting Road from Khairna, 2 connecting road from Bhatrojkhan and 3 Connecting Road from Ramnagar but all the roads are full of potholes. Only private bus and sumo running And after Evening 5 PM no public Transport is available for anywhere.

Pantnagar is the nearest domestic airport and is about112 km away from Betalghat. There is no direct bus or taxi from Pantnagar Airport, to reach Betalghat you will either have to book a private taxi from Pantnagar or first go to Haldwani and then from Haldwani take a bus or taxi to Betalghat
