Chaumes-en-Brie (French pronunciation: [ʃom ɑ̃ bʁi] , literally Chaumes in ⓘBrie) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is best known as the ancient home of the Couperin family of composers and musicians.
