The song was recorded at Criteria Studios in Miami, engineered by Chuck Kirkpatrick, produced by Marlin Productions and arranged by the Beginning of the End.[1]

It reached #7 on the US R&B chart, #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of July 17, 1971 and #31 on the UK Singles Chart in 1974.[2][3] The song was featured on their 1971 album, Funky Nassau.[4]

The single ranked #75 on Billboard's Year-End Hot 100 singles of 1971.[5]
