Hamilton and the Valier area was used for coal mining. Getting nicknamed "Browntown". There is now a Sandpaper factory, 3-H Abrasives. It went through a lot of changes throughout the years, the Post Office moved next door, 3-H burned down and moved to another spot, there was a General store that went out of business. A local man crafted a baseball diamond for the local kids, but now is a cornfield.

History edit

A post office has been in operation at Hamilton since 1852.[2] Robert Hamilton was the first postmaster.[3]
