At the National Census of 2006, its population was 9,624 in 1,888 households.[5] There were 10,973 inhabitants in 2,553 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 12,674 in 3,168 households. The largest of its 24 villages was Gezir, with 4,693 people.[2]
