Jarqavieh Sofla Rural District

Summary

Jarqavieh Sofla Rural District (Persian: دهستان جرقويه سفلي)[3] is in the Central District of Jarqavieh County, Isfahan province, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Mohammadabad.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the former Jarqavieh Sofla District of Isfahan County) was 460 in 151 households.[6] There were 523 inhabitants in 159 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 593 in 206 households. The largest of its 64 villages was Sian, with 319 people.[2]

In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jarqavieh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Nikabad as its capital.[4]
