Kelar-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان کلار غربی), formerly Kelarabad Rural District (دهستان كلارآباد), is in Kelar District of Abbasabad County, Mazandaran province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Sisara.[4]

At the National Census of 2006, its population (as Kelarabad Rural District of Abbasabad District, Tonekabon County) was 8,445 in 2,394 households.[5] There were 5,804 inhabitants in 1,797 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Abbasabad County.[3] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,293 in 751 households. The most populous of its six villages was Sisara, with 1,272 people.[2]
