Kiakola (Persian: كياكلا), also Romanized as Kīākolā, Kīā Kolā, Kīā Kalā, and Kīyā Kalā; formerly Jadīd ol Eslām,[3] is a city in the Central District of Simorgh County, Mazandaran province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 7,364 in 1,980 households, when it was in the former Kiakola District of Qaem Shahr County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 7,691 people in 2,276 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 8,040 people in 2,691 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Simorgh County, with Kiakola as its capital.[4]
