History
edit
Until 18 July 2020, Kivsharivka belonged to Kupiansk Municipality. The municipality was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kharkiv Oblast to seven. The area of Kupiansk Municipality was merged into Kupiansk Raion.[3][4] Until 26 January 2024, Kivsharivka was designated urban-type settlement. On this day, a new law entered into force which abolished this status, and Kivsharivka became a rural settlement.[5] Population editLanguage editDistribution of the population by native language according to the 2001 census:[6]
