Koshkinsky District (Russian: Ко́шкинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,750 square kilometers (680 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Koshki.[2] Population: 24,194 (2010 Census);[4] 25,239 (2002 Census);[9] 34,766 (1989 Census).[10] The population of Koshki accounts for 32.9% of the district's total population.[4]
