＜ (ar) an-nayyir, "the bright one" ＜ (sci.-ar)^[1] al-Nayyir min Dhanab al-ḥūt (al-Janūbiyy), "the Bright (star) belongs to the Tail of (the constellation of) the (Southern) Fish", for this star.

Al Dhanab:
