Summary

Mah Neshan (Persian: ماه نشان, also Romanized as Māh Neshān and Māhneshān)[3] is a city in the Central District of Mahneshan County, Zanjan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] It is also the administrative center for Mah Neshan Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 4,495 in 1,119 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 5,439 people in 1,422 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,487 people in 1,626 households.[2]
