Mai Kolachi

Summary

Mai Kolachi was a hindu fisherwoman who settled near the delta of the Indus River to start a community. The word Koli means a fishermen in Marathi. Kolachi means a wome who is a Koli's woman. The village was named after her for her bravery. Kolachi and this community was later developed into the modern city of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
