Pogranichny District (Russian: Пограни́чный райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-two in Primorsky Krai, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the krai. The area of the district is 3,750.0 square kilometers (1,447.9 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Pogranichny.[2] Population: 23,492 (2010 Census);[4] 25,761 (2002 Census);[9] 26,604 (1989 Census).[10] The population of the administrative center accounts for 43.8% of the district's total population.[4]
