Privolzhsky District (Russian: Приво́лжский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,379.3 square kilometers (532.6 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Privolzhye.[2] Population: 24,005 (2010 Census);[3]24,552 (2002 Census);[8] 23,058 (1989 Census).[9] The population of Privolzhye accounts for 31.2% of the district's total population.[3]
