Qurtan (Persian: قورتان, also Romanized as Qūrtān; also known as Ghoortan, Qurtūn, and Urūn)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Gavkhuni-ye Shomali Rural District (formerly Gavkhuni Rural District)[4] of the Central District of Varzaneh County, Isfahan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,177 in 318 households, when it was in the former Bon Rud District of Isfahan County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,242 people in 378 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,283 people in 409 households.[2]
In 2021, Bon Rud District was separated from Isfahan County in the establishment of Varzaneh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Varzaneh as its capital and only city.[7]
