Space Symposium (formerly the National Space Symposium) is a conference for the global space community, staged by The Space Foundation. It is held each spring at The Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Space Symposium led by members of the international space community, and features presentations and panels about space developments and industry issues; an exhibit center showcasing the latest space technology; special event and awards presentations: targeted programs for specific groups, including young space professionals, the cyber community, educators, and students.[1]
The Space Foundation presents six annual awards at its Space Symposium: The General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award; John L. "Jack" Swigert, Jr., Award for Space Exploration; Douglas S. Morrow Public Outreach Award; the Space Achievement Award; the Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award - in partnership with the Astronauts Memorial Foundation (AMF) and NASA; and the Athena Education Award.[2] Each year, the Space Foundation also inducts members into its Space Technology Hall of Fame.[3]
