Starominsky District (Russian: Староминский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Krasnodar Krai, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Starominsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the north of the krai. The area of the district is 1,030 square kilometers (400 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Starominskaya.[1] Population: 40,755 (2010 Census);[2] 41,097 (2002 Census);[6] 41,524 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Starominskaya accounts for 73.1% of the district's total population.[2]
