Summary
The Amazing Maurice is an upcoming 3D computer-animated fantasy-comedy film directed by Toby Genkel and Florian Westermann, and released by Sky Cinema. It is based on the 2001 book The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents by Terry Pratchett,[2][3] and stars Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, David Thewlis, Himesh Patel, Kishan Barr, Gemma Arterton, and Hugh Bonneville.[4]

ProductionEdit
In June 2019, the adaptation of Terry Pratchett's novel into an animated film was announced.[16] Additionally, Terry Rossio was stated to be the screenplay writer, Carter Goodrich the character designer, Toby Genkel the film's director, and Julia Stuart of SKY, Rob Wilkins of Narrativia, Emely Christians, Robert Chandler and Andrew Baker as producers.[17] In October 2019, sales for the film began and art work from the production was released.[18] The voice cast of Hugh Laurie, Emilia Clarke, David Thewlis, Himesh Patel, Gemma Arterton and Hugh Bonneville was announced in November 2020.[9] David Tennant, Rob Brydon, Julie Atherton and Joe Sugg were added to the voice cast in May 2021.[19] The film has the full support of the Pratchett Estate and is produced in association with Narrativia.
