Length
This is quite possibly the most appealing feature of
a pole saw. There are extendable pole saws that use telescopic poles, allowing
you to adjust the length as needed easily. Most pole saws range from 7 to 15
feet long. When looking at pole saws, you’ll often see maximum reach listed.
This feature takes into account the pole’s maximum length and the user’s
height. Most manufacturers add about 5 feet to the pole length to get the
maximum reach. This means that if your pole saw is 7 feet, its maximum reach is
12 feet.

Depending on the manufacturer, pole saws also come
with additional features such as an automatic chain lube mechanism to ensure
your blade remains in good condition, safety switches, ergonomic grips to
ensure your wrists are comfortable as you work, adjustable saw bar angles to
