Happy Friday!? Do you have any fun weekend plans that you are looking forward to? I sure do!
Remember how I told you guys that I recently relocated, well I am traveling home for the weekend to attend a backyard, family, pool party at my parent's house. I actually am currently in the airplane right now writing this post out on my MacBook Air using Apple Pages. I’m cheap, I’m not going to pay for internet access, just to be able to type this post out directly on Knowpia’s website. Plus my flight is very quick, wheels up to wheels down, it is only a 54-minute flight. I’d like to think that I’m pretty tech savvy (who isn’t these days), so it is easy enough to copy this whole section and post it into Knowpia’s text box later when I have ‘free’ wifi at my parent's house.
I’m not sure where you all are from, but where I am from, it has been pretty hot lately, a true summer feel. It has been in the upper 90s, but back home, where I am traveling to, it is supposed to be a little bit cooler, only in the mid-80s. I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool and all laying out by the pool. (Name that show/song)!
This trip home is quite short this time though, I get in today, Friday afternoon, and I return back to my home on Sunday night. As I mentioned earlier, I’m excited to spend time with my family, my family is very important to me, and I do miss now that I have moved away. One of my brothers just recently moved back home for the summer, after living across the country for the last few months. He will be heading off to London this fall for the next few months because of his job. His job has him traveling all over the world every few weeks, with a new home base every few months I am jealous. I have the travel bug so badly, and if it's on my companies’ dime to send me around the world traveling, sign me up!!
I am also quite excited to see my parents, I have not always had the best relationship with my mom growing up. I was young, naive, arrogant and thought I knew everything, so she and I butted heads pretty badly sometimes. Also, I am so excited to see my oldest brother and sister-in-law and their two kids, a nephew and a niece. My niece is three months old now, I haven’t seen her since she was born earlier this year. I’m really looking forward to holding her, my nephew, on the other hand, he’s a crazy monkey. He’s going to to be three this fall, and he constantly wants to play and run around. He’s such a good boy though, and he truly is the best dressed almost three years old there is. My oldest brother and sister-in-law are a bit bougie. I am a Tia to three, I have another niece too.
My middle sister and brother-in-law, have one daughter together as well. She was born one month before my other niece was, she is about four months old now. Both of my nieces are very cute but very different. How they will be raised, will alter them a lot as well. I had a cousin who is three weeks younger than me, and I remember growing up as kids, we enjoyed having someone our age, built in playmates!!
I think that is pretty much all for now, I’d just like to shout out my man for being a true rockstar. He and I got into a little bit of a feud yesterday afternoon, over something dumb honestly. We simply had a miscommunication, we got frustrated with one another, and I overreacted (go figure). Anyways, if y’all wanna know more about that I might talk about it, not to shame him or talk down on him, but to share how communication is key in relationships.
Relationships could be anything though you guys, friendships, dating, parents, coworkers, roommates, etc. How we speak to people, treat people and handle our non-verbal communications plays a factor in how our relationships grow and develop.
