Arkadaksky District (Russian: Аркада́кский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,200 square kilometers (850 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the town of Arkadak.[2] Population: 26,236 (2010 Census);[4] 31,131 (2002 Census);[9] 33,525 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Arkadak accounts for 49.0% of the district's total population.[4]
