Summary
Malopurginsky District (Russian: Малопурги́нский райо́н; Udmurt: Пичи Пурга ёрос, Pići Purga joros) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), and one of the twenty-five in the Udmurt Republic, Russia. It is located in the south of the republic. The area of the district is 1,223.2 square kilometers (472.3 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Malaya Purga.[2] Population: 33,058 (2010 Russian census);[4] 31,558 (2002 Census);[9] 30,849 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Malaya Purga accounts for 23.3% of the district's total population.[4]
