Povorinsky District (Russian: Пово́ринский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,066 square kilometers (412 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Povorino.[1] Population: 31,119 (2021 Census);[7] 34,030 (2010 Russian census);[3] 17,475 (2002 Census);[8] 18,325 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Povorino accounts for 52.8% of the district's total population.[7]
