Tashlinsky District (Russian: Ташлинский райо́н; Kazakh: Ташла ауданы, Tashla aýdany) is an administrative[1] and municipal[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,700 square kilometers (1,000 sq mi).[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Tashla.[2] Population: 25,281 (2010 Census);[4] 26,886 (2002 Census);[8] 23,084 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Tashla accounts for 27.9% of the district's total population.[4]
