Terbunsky District (Russian: Тербу́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the eighteen in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,170 square kilometers (450 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Terbuny.[1] Population: 20,837 (2021 Census);[6] 22,536 (2010 Russian census);[2] 24,068 (2002 Census);[7] 25,752 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Terbuny accounts for 37.2% of the district's total population.[2]
