What did you do this weekend? Was it memorable, or was it just another weekend? This post is going to be about the movie Secret Life of Pets 2, so if you have not seen it yet and you want to, then be warned, reading this post will give away spoilers. If you have seen this movie what did you think about it? Well, we're about to discuss it so let's find out.
First of all, I think that Max was drawn fatter in this movie than he originally was in the first movie but maybe that's just my opinion and view. Secondly, I felt like the movie did not tie into the original storyline, as in the movie did not feel like a sequel but rather just a similar movie. Yes, there were connections such as the same pets and owners, but in the first movie, they went on a full on an adventure alone. In this sequel, the animals traveled with their owners and stayed in the apartment building for a majority of the movie.
There definitely were some HILARIOUS scenes, such as when Gidget was told she HAD to eat the bird because that's what cats do and she already used her cat training pass on not using a litterbox. Also, watching Snowball was almost always a funny moment. Not only does the voice actor behind Snowball, Kevin Hart, make it that much better, but the way they created the character made him interesting to watch.
The last comment that I will make about this movie is the introduction of all the new characters. Either the just were added to continue the storyline for this movie, or they were introduced to the serious could continue. Again for those who have seen the movie, what did you think of Roster, what about Daisy or the tiger? How about the crazy, evil circuit master? How awful was he, I know he was created to be the villain, but animal abuse is just so wrong.
Ultimately, I enjoyed the movie, I thought it was well done, was it my favorite movie that has been released to theaters? No, but still worth seeing if you enjoyed the first one. Happy Monday, and have a great week!
