Lash Extensions

False lashes are a part of my daily routine. Putting them on usually adds 5 minutes to my routine on a good day and 10-15 minutes on a bad day. In February of this year, I tried lash extensions for the first time. They made my daily routine so much easier. I literally could get up, wash my face, brush my teeth, and go to class. Waking up with lashes was great. As they started falling out after a few weeks though, I realized I’d have to get a fill to keep them full and fluffy.

The only downside to lash extension is constantly having to fill them. At the time, the job I worked wasn’t great and neither was my pay. I decided to not get them and that I would just have to wake up a little earlier if I felt like doing my makeup for class or anything I was doing in my daily life. I didn’t get extensions again until May, right before finals.

When I’m stressed out, my eyelashes fall out more I’ve noticed. I don’t really know why I decided to get lashes before finals, knowing this. Also, the day I got my lash extensions I went to a pie auction. After getting your lashes done, you’re not supposed to get them wet for 48 hours. ME, being stupid, attended the auction and of course got pied by my friends. I had to shower and wash out my lashes, AND they were ruined. On top of that, I had finals so my lashes were basically fked. I wasted my money on getting my lashes done that time and didn’t get them again until a few weeks ago. I’ve been obsessed with the set that I just got done. Before, I opted for hybrid sets - meaning a mix between a classic, natural set and a more dramatic, volume set. I love the hybrid set. They’ve made getting ready so much faster and easier, and give me a few extra minutes to sleep in. I want to get a fill to keep them fluffy and full, but I don’t have the money to right now so I’ll just be waking up a little earlier to put on a pair of Makeup Shack falsies.
