Recently, manufacturers of surgical masks have been very busy creating a manner of face mask known as a"respirator". They provide a higher level of security as the stringent filter is impregnated with a germicide that disinfects any particles it touches including microbes. They're in use domestically in the U.S. and globally throughout millions of medical offices, hospitals, and clinics.
N99 Surgical respirators with a sealing adhesive provide much higher antimicrobial protection than traditional KN95 Masks which fasten to the face using an elastic band. Among other items to keep handy contain medical gloves, hand sanitizers, and such things to keep market a clean and sterile environment. Accepting these types of precautions would be the best method to combat the spread of airborne illness.
