Accommodations during Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek are available at Lodge and Teahouse. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you will find ranges of accommodation from budget inns to five-star hotels. However, during the trek, most of the accommodations are on a twin-shared basis.

Being a Conservation Area, only limited lodges are built and most of them are facilitated with basic amenities. They offer you a cozy room having two beds, a mattress, a pillow, and a quilt/blanket in each. You are highly advised to carry your sleeping bag for your comfort.

Plenty of restaurants are available during your stay at Kathmandu and Pokhara. But, start hiking, you will get meals differently. I mean, dinner and breakfast are available on the teahouse where you accommodate but lunch is taken on the way.

All the teahouses set their menus keeping the Nepali Tibetan, Continental, Indian, Tibetan, Italian food. The choices may decrease with the elevation. Daal Bhat (a set of rice lentils, vegetables, pickles) is the most popular food during the trek.

Recommended Brief Itinerary

Day One: Drive/Fly Kathmandu (1350m/4429ft) to Pokhara (820m/2690ft)

Day Two: Drive Pokhara to Nayapul (1070m/3510m) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m/5051ft) Tikhedhunga

Day Three: Trek to Ghorepani (2860m/9380ft)

Day Four: Hike to Poonhill (3210m/10531ft) and trek to Tadapani (2630m/8626ft)

Day Five: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m/6360ft)

Day Six: Trek to Khimche (1640m/5380ft) and Drive back to Pokhara

Day Seven: Drive/Fly back to Kathmandu
