2019 Concours D'Elegance

Making the 7 hour drive up the coast of California for the 2019 Concours D'Elegance was quite the treat. Once we hit Big Sur you could see all sorts of cars driven around and stopping. People were pulled off to the side of the road taking pictures of the cliffside beach and the exquisite cars simultaneously. There were old Porsches, Lamborghinis', Ferrari, and even Bentley racers driving up and down the coast.

Throughout the week there were various different events to go to. They were quite a bit more expensive than I anticipated though, I might add. There was a gorgeous car event located at the Quail Lodge in Carmel but that was over $900 per person and you had to reserve your spot a year in advance. This was quite the huge deal.  A lot of people ended up standing outside the entrance to watch cars come and go from the event. Almost all of the cars in this event were worth $1 million or more. Luckily, there were plenty of free events to go to.

One of the best events was just located in Carmel-By-The-Sea. This is a cute town area with lots of shops and restaurants. The whole area is fantastic for getting pictures of cars. No matter where a car was parked you could still get a great picture of it. Most of the events lasted for about 4 hours which gave enough time to see all the cars. Even if you couldn't make it to the free events, you could still see a cars throughout Carmel and Monterey. People drove around the town which made it easy to see everything you would want to see in an event.
