A nice Sunday drive to the other side of the Big Island and a visit to Ahalanui Beach Park. It was a natural spring fed pond that someone built some walls to help capture the ocean and clear fresh water. The pool was originally cold back in the day. A good size earthquake happened back in the 1970's and presto, the water has since been heated by thermal vents from the volcano. Wonderful 92-95 degree water that is cystal clear with a combo of fresh and salt water. A great park setting and only a few people on a Sunday afternoon.
