While video chatting is a necessity these days if you want
to keep in touch with your friends, it can get pretty boring after a while. If
you’re dying of boredom and want something to do with your friends, try these
cool online games!
Bunch
Bunch is the closest you can get to playing video games with
your friends in person. Bunch allows you to host group video chats with your
friends and play games together, all in one easy-to-use app! The app has tons
of fun multiplayer games, including Draw Party, Mars Dash, Trivia, and more.
The developers are also working hard on adding more games to the app and are
actively taking suggestions on what to add next.
Houseparty
Similar to Bunch, Houseparty allows you to chat and play games
with your friends. This app has various other games to try. Once you log into
the app, your friends are alerted that you are “in the house” and ready to jump
in and chat! This app makes it fun and easy to hang out with your buddies, even
while social distancing.
Drawful
Miss playing Pictionary with friends and family? Try
Drawful! This online multiplayer game allows everyone to come together and draw
some silly pictures. One person is directed to draw something, while the others
must guess who it is. Split up in teams and compete to win the most points! The
team to guess the most drawings wins!
Zoom University
Looking for something to do with your best friend? Try Zoom
University! This website sets you and your friend on a double date by matching
you both with people that are your age and who have similar interests. This is
the perfect app to use if you both want to meet someone new!
Enchambered
Looking for something more immersive? Enchambered.com is a
2-player escape room filled with puzzles, tricks, and challenges? Can you and
your friend make it out in time? Try it now to find out!
Kind Words
Kind Words is a game on steam that allows you to write “nice
letters to real people.” This game allows you to fully immerse yourself in your
writing and makes it feel like you’re elsewhere. The game features calming
lo-fi music and sets your character in a small, yet quaint bedroom as the sun
sets. If you’re looking for a calming, positive game to keep you feeling good,
Kind Words may help a lot!
The Classics
There are many websites out there that offer your old favorite games. Papergames.io has four classic games, including Connect 4, Tic Tac Toe, Battleship, and Gomoku. Cardgames.io has almost any game you can think of, including Solitaire, Chess, Sudoku, and even head-to-head Yahtzee. You can play Guess Who here, and you can play UNO here.
Being in quarantine is awfully boring. Thankfully, we have
tons of games and gaming sites to use whenever we want! Give these games a go
and see how you like them. If you have any other recommendations, I’d love to
hear them!
