- Flux Cored Arc Welding – It can be subdivided into 2
parts – self-shielded flux core welding and gas shielded flux core
welding. In the self-shielded flux core welding, the flux inside the
electrode produces slag and gas when heated. They do not require any
external agents for the heating process. In the gas shielded flux cored
welding technique; an external gas is used to produce the slag. The
shielding gas can be controlled. This is why it is so popular among
welders.
