Judge Blocks Medicaid Work Standards

A federal judge has vacated the U.S. government’s approval of Kentucky’s new work and job training requirements for its Medicaid program, according to Reuters. Judge James Boasberg ruled that the government did not consider if the requirements helped achieve Medicaid’s goal of providing care to the most vulnerable people, Vox reports. The move is at least a temporary blow to conservative states trying to overhaul the state and federal health insurance program.
