— To benefit its My Secure Family initiative, Undone Redone will host its third
annual Open Your Purse Gala via livestream on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
Online bidding for purses will start at 5 p.m. CST, and the Open Your Purse
livestream will begin at 6:30 p.m. CST. Attendees can register for the event
online at openyourpurse.
My
Secure Family is a program that includes a portal and community for parents,
equipping
them to effectively shepherd the hearts of their children
and guard them from the harmful impact of pornography and other sexually
explicit content. This portal keeps parents and grandparents informed on the
ever-changing digital landscape and helps them navigate current issues like
cyberbullying, gaming, social media and online digital safety.
“Unfortunately, over 80% of children’s first-time exposure
to pornography takes place in the home,” Executive Director of Undone Redone,
Tray Lovvorn, said. “With children being forced to learn from home in an online
environment this year, we know that number has only escalated in these
unprecedented times. We started our My Secure Family initiative to help parents
protect their children by becoming more aware of the dangers presented through
today’s technology. We want parents and grandparents to know that they are not
alone in the important undertaking of shepherding the hearts of their
children.”
