Casino Workers Fear Robotics

Over 50,000 workers in Las Vegas are planning to strike over concerns that robots could take their jobs, reports Gizmodo. The workers, who belong to the Culinary and Bartenders Unions, will join a strike Friday aimed at preventing “automation from creeping into the workforce,” per Gizmondo. The two largest casino operators in Vegas, MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment, could lose up to $10 million a day while their employees strike, according to NBC.
