Out of respect for the First people of Hawaii, Joy & I understand how sacred this bay is. This is their Plymouth Rock. We are caretakers of a small piece of land that has supported generations of Hawiians for 2000 yrs. and now us. Not much has changed. Even though Surfing was brought to Hawaii from the South Pacific with the first arrival, it is the two surf breaks that I see from my living room window, and partake in, that was mentioned in Captain Cooks log book back in 1779. The history of this area overflows around us. You just have to look up from your smart phone and listen.
