Juul stops sales of mint flavor

Top e-cigarette company Juul has decided to stop selling it's most popular mint flavor Juul pod. This decision was made after studies funded by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute on Drug Abuse discovered that around 27% of high school students and 10% of eighth-graders currently use e-cigarettes. Juul's e-cigarettes were used among more than half of the kids.

The goal is to limit the number of teens using e-cigarettes and causing potential health risks. Mint flavor for Juul makes up around 70% of its US sales and joins a group of fruit-flavored pods to be removed to tackle against teens from using their product. This again can potentially be a major blow to sales and I'm sure some higher-up executives weren't too happy about this decision. However, it was a necessary ethical decision the company had to make for the greater good of safety. Of course, even with the stoppage, teens and everyone else will just switch to their second favorite flavor and still risk their health. The flavoring of the pods definitely has a major draw for users, but the feeling of using has a bigger impact and soon teens will continue to find alternative flavors or end up being just fine with the ones offered by Juul.
