May 16th National Love A Tree Day

There are over 1,500 national days and May 16th is indeed National Love A Tree Day!

Why is it important to plant trees? They prevent erosion of the soil, as well as provide a home for a variety of animals. Of critical importance to humans, they also play a major role in producing the oxygen we breathe and cleaning carbon dioxide out of the air.

On this day, which maybe some of you have never heard of, is the chance for you to make a change in our environment. For this day we want to admire and take care of our planet. Not only do tree's show off their beauty or provide us with with shade, but they also play a huge role in all of our lives. However, tree's have large quantities of carbon are stored in their tissues as trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. I know that tree's aren't the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning, but they are very important. 


Tree's are a very vital part of nature! Perhaps this Thursday, May 16th you plant a tree. Make a difference and make a change!
