I have known about the online store for about three years, and have made several purchases from their sellers. Buying things from a wholesale store based in China has always been contriversial. The first time that I had ever bought anything from there, I made the mistake of not checking the reviews. I mean who could blame me (besides my dad, whose credit card I used). It was a website in which I could purchase clothes that usually cost $30+ and I got them for less than $10. This is any 13 year old's dream. But I admit, it was a very bad choice on my part, because when the clothes came in, all six items, I was only content with two things. The two dresses I had bought were merely pieces of cheap cloth poorly stitched together, and the two swimsuits I bought didn't even fit properly. However, the one, or should I say two, good things that did in fact come as described were two plain, simple, black bralettes which, to this day, I still wear.
The next rendezvous I had with the site was two years later. I had attempted to avoid them after my mishap, but after seeing a youtube video about all the cute bikinis they had, I couldn't resist. This time, the outcome was different. I so far have bought ten things from their site, half of which I am still waiting to arrive, and I have been completely satisfied. I've gotten two phone cases, a top, a hat, a iphone camera attatchable lense (I completely recommend it), and more. Of course in order to find all these things I combed through tons and tons of reviews prior to buying them, and in the end, it payed off.
So how do you know what and what not to buy from AliExpress? Reviews. Reviews. Reviews. I cannot stress enough how important they are, whether it's for a phone case, a new trendy swimsuit, or new baby clothes. This site is both a curse and a blessing, but reviews are your best friend. And reviews with pictures? Even better! At the end of the day, I will probably continue to buy things from their stores, and I'm excited to see what will arrive in the mail soon enough.
