I moved from New Jersey to California when I was 8 years old. At first it wasn't that bad because we would go back at least once a year, my family would come and visit too, I tried making friends, but that ended quickly. I changed schools halfway through 3rd grade so I lost all of my friends and was dumped into a class where everyone had been friends with each other since preschool. That first school wasn't that bad. It was when I went to my other school. It was the same problem: every one knew each other. They were very clique-ish and made fun of my accent (which is why I learned how to change my accent). My family stopped visiting, even for important events, like my college graduation (still salty about that), we stopped going as often (it's been 6 years since I've been home), it's been really lonely here.

Now I'm torn: I want to move back to be with my family, but I've worked so hard on making friends and California has grown on me. I love the weather, the mountains, the beaches, and the sunsets! Right now I have a chance to move to Colorado, where I don't know anyone. I kind of want to just go and try something new, but I know myself, I'll want to just stay home.
I'm torn, but I want a change. Let's see what happens...
