Aloha, did you ever do something you really enjoyed and then just stopped doing it? I loved to oil paint on rainy days in California. Put music on, glass of wine and paint. Moved to Hawaii, rains eveyday, not inspired. I Still listen to music and drink wine. Woke up one day and decided to try again. I love to paint late in the day, rain, pot of coffee now, pandora music playing. My creativity was inspired by masters of the craft. So I continue to follow a few, with a side line of originals. In the days of old, a new artist had to master the great works before being able to go off on their own. It is a tribue to really good painters, to have your work copied. An so, if there is something you use to do and now do not, jump back in. The pool is great.
