Apply Truck Bed Liner | The Different Steps to Follow!

When you invest in your truck for commercial purposes, you are investing because you want a truck that will give you a long life. You want to trust your truck to do the biggest projects, you know from such hard work. One thing you may not have thought of is how useful it is to lay down your truck. If you prefer the dealer not to cover your truck bed, then you can always change your mind and cover yourself with a professional-grade Spray On Truck Bed Liner.

Applying Truck Bed Liner

Protecting your truck is easy and requires a few steps. In a matter of minutes, you’ll not only protect your truck’s bed, but you’ll save a bit by pushing the cover yourself into the truck.

Wash Your Truck Bed

Use soap and water to remove debris that could interfere with the cargo liner stuck to the surface of the car bed. Most people use a sponge to clean the sponge, or if your truck’s sleeping area is large enough, you can use a sponge mop.

Scuff Sand the Bed

This operation allows the epoxy and rubber mixture to adhere to the bed, creating a slightly rough surface for the mixture to adhere to.

Remove all Wax and Tar

You can do this using a specially manufactured chemical designed to remove all traces of resin and wax. Even if your truck is new, visually inspect the truck. To make it more attractive, a wax coating can be applied to the truck at the dealership. Applying a layer of primer to rusted areas will help ensure that no further damage occurs after the coating is installed.

Mix the Two Components

Most kits are equipped with a base and activator. Mix them well with a paint or electric paint mixer. Hold it for about 15 minutes before applying the mixture to the surface.

Apply to Surface

Apply two coats of paint. Dry the first layer for about 30 minutes before applying the second layer. Be careful not to over-apply the mixture anywhere. Doing so will result in performance that does not guarantee the efficiency of a professional-grade spray on truck bed liner. Dry the vehicle thoroughly before use. All manufacturers have different specifications, so read the instructions before applying.
